The Wu character is cut into fourteen stone slabs that offset layer by layer and settle into place in turn. It echoes the stacked rock of Luojia Hill; turn the viewpoint and the layering and the depth become visible.

The Luo character is written as calligraphy: translucent jade-like strokes grow in one by one, following the stroke order, with a faint new-sprout glimmer at the brush tip, and sway lightly in the wind once the character is complete.
Flat marks
Vector (SVG) scales without loss for the web and for print; bitmap (PNG, 1024×1024 with transparency) suits app icons and other raster contexts. Both are available in full colour and as a monochrome white version.

PNG · transparent, 1024²A geometric transformation of the Wu character from Wuhan University's name, its horizontal strokes stacked to echo the Luojia hills. It is also the app's default icon.

PNG · transparent, 1024²The Luo character is taken from Luojia. A geometric jade radical on the left, a single cursive stroke on the right; used as the alternate icon and as the basis for brand extensions.

Usage rules
These conventions keep the marks consistent across every context.
Size and clear space
- Minimum height 24px on screen; minimum height 8mm in print.
- Keep clear space of at least 1/4 of the mark's height on all four sides, so it never crowds the elements around it.
- Prefer the vector SVG; export the bitmap PNG at 2× / 3× as needed for high-density screens.
- Use the monochrome white version on dark backgrounds and the full-colour version on light ones, so contrast stays sufficient.
Licence and attribution
- The marks are copyright ClosedWHU Team, and identify the Luotopia app and its official content.
- Press reviews and non-commercial use by campus partners are welcome, provided the mark stays whole — no recolouring and no distortion.
- For commercial partnerships, derivative work or large-scale distribution, please get in touch through the community channels first to obtain a licence.
